COURSE APPROVAL
Inasmuch as the type of training provided to any agency is a direct result of that agencies administrative oversight and instructional foresight, GALEFI has no intent, nor desire, to control the training path a Department chooses to provide its officers. As a result, the Board of Directors has voted NOT to review submitted courses beyond January 1st of 2017.
We will post any course a Department may wish to share with the GALEFI community on our website. There are many accomplished instructors throughout the State who provide valuable firearms training daily to those who serve the community in a law enforcement capacity. As an organization, we will continue to provide ongoing instructional and training resources which are intended to enhance the knowledge, skills and abilities of those trainers.
A list of course criteria which should be met when designing a course to "meet or exceed" the minimum State standard.
