This is a five-day course.
Students will attend classroom lecture and range exercises regarding the development of basic handgun programs. Material will include; teaching pertinent liability issues, understanding shooting fundamentals, combat versus precision marksmanship, weapon maintenance, shooting on the move, multiple threat engagement and low-light firing techniques. This is not an individual handgun skill development program. Students must possess the ability to fire a score of 90% or greater on the Georgia Semi-Automatic Qualification Course. Additionally, students must also successfully complete all task-oriented qualification courses fired throughout the training program.
Equipment requirement:
1000 rounds of appropriate practice ammunition
A minimum of three handgun magazines
A minimum of eighteen rounds of dummy (inert) ammunition
A tactical flashlight
